• Any data from your device's sensors
• Bluetooth beacon information or configurations
• Contact information or user accounts

2. How Your Data Stays Private

Local Storage Only

All diagnostic data generated by NavDiags is stored exclusively on your iOS device using secure local storage mechanisms:

• Location History: GPS coordinates, timestamps, and accuracy data
• Region Events: Geographic region entry/exit events
• Beacon Configurations: iBeacon UUIDs, major/minor values, and custom settings
• Diagnostic Logs: System status and capability information

No Network Communication

NavDiags operates entirely offline and does not:

• Connect to external servers or APIs
• Transmit data over the internet
• Use cloud storage services
• Communicate with third-party services
• Send analytics or telemetry data

3. iOS Permissions and Data Usage

Location Services

NavDiags requests location permission to provide diagnostic functionality:

• Purpose: Display real-time location coordinates, accuracy, and diagnostic information
• Data Usage: Location data is processed locally and displayed in the app interface
• Storage: Location history is stored locally on your device only
• Control: You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings

Bluetooth Access

Bluetooth permission enables iBeacon and BLE device functionality:

• Purpose: Detect nearby iBeacons and Bluetooth Low Energy devices
• Data Usage: Beacon information is processed for diagnostic display purposes
• Transmission: iBeacon simulation broadcasts standard iBeacon advertisements locally
• Privacy: No personal data is included in beacon transmissions

4. Data Export and Sharing

NavDiags provides optional data export features that are completely user-controlled:

• User-Initiated Only: Data export occurs only when you explicitly tap export or share buttons
• Standard iOS Sharing: Uses iOS native sharing sheet for emails, messages, or file apps
• No Automatic Sharing: No data is shared automatically or without your explicit action
• Format Control: You choose the export format and destination

5. Data Retention and Deletion

User Control

You have complete control over your diagnostic data:

• Configurable Retention: Set custom data retention periods for location history
• Manual Deletion: Clear individual records or entire datasets at any time
• App Deletion: Removing the app permanently deletes all stored data
• iOS Integration: Follows iOS data management and storage practices

Automatic Cleanup

NavDiags includes automatic data management features:

• Configurable automatic cleanup based on data age
• Storage usage optimization to prevent excessive disk usage
• Retention policy enforcement for location history

6. Third-Party Services

NavDiags does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app operates as a completely self-contained diagnostic tool.

7. Children's Privacy

NavDiags is designed for technical users and developers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since all data remains on the device and no information is transmitted, age verification is not required.

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

Any updates to this privacy policy will be reflected in app updates distributed through the iOS App Store. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes. The current version date is shown at the top of this policy.

NavDiags fully supports iOS privacy features:
